New Years Resolutions

Our New Year’s resolution is always the same – Feed Our Kids

What are your New Year’s resolutions?

New Years Resolutions

There are the perennial ones: eat healthy, exercise more, lose weight, learn something new, travel more, sleep more, be kind etc…..  You know what we resolve each year here at Feed Northland Kids – to continue to impact childhood hunger in the northland, and so many of you help us do so!

If it turns out one of your resolutions is to exercise more, you can help us meet our resolution by participating in our annual Bill Cross 5K. Start a slow and steady training program to be ready to run by early to mid October 2017. Let’s be resolution buddies. Get some inspiration by viewing this video of the 2016 event.

Backsnack Packing

New record set for Feed Northland Kids Backsnack packing nights……

53 energetic volunteers worked at a near feverish pace to pack 2,550 BackSnacks! This is a fantastic result from two hours of effort. In fact, it was just a bit over the nearly 2,500 sent home each weekend in the northland. Enjoy additional pics here

Gladstone Partners      Altar'd State

Community partners contributing to our mission

The city of Gladstone has their annual Mayor’s Christmas Tree lighting evening and funds are solicited to impact local northland charities. We were honored to be a part of that celebration and distribution. Mayor Jean Moore had an ambitious goal for 2016 and her fantastic committee managed to nearly triple the amount of funds raised! It is particularly meaningful to us as our annual 5K is named in honor of Bill Cross, who served as Mayor of Gladstone.

Altar’d State has a wonderful program,  “Mission Mondays”, where a local nonprofit is selected each month, allowed to have a display and literature inside the store and 10% of sales from each of the Monday’s that month are donatated to that charity. Feed Northland Kids was the November beneficiary in 2016. Store managers were graceful models for the check presentation.
