Two of our own recognized at annual Northland Community Foundation Philanthropy Breakfast

The Pinnacle award celebrates philanthropy in the Northland. It is presented each year by the Northland Community Foundation to recognize and honor individuals, groups and businesses who best exemplify civic pride, leadership, individual and neighborhood caring and who have made a significant charitable contribution either by personal deed or monetary commitment to our community.

We are pleased our long-time board member Chris Donnelli received this award! Chris was instrumental in the creation and execution of our Community Food Kit program. This program was developed in response to the pandemic and remains a vital way we continue to feed entire families in the Northland. Chris’ organizational skills, budgeting prowess, ability to invite, involve and inform several product partners and volunteers on a weekly basis is crucial to a successful and seamless operation. HIs dedication since the Spring of 2020 is admirable!!

A consistent volunteer and leader since 5th grade, when he noticed a few peers didn’t have a winter coat, Bobby Etienne was a perfect candidate to receive the Virjean Burton Youth Philanthropy Award. This award goes to someone demonstrating philanthropic leadership and action. His energetic and inviting personality coaxed many to help with annual food drives, often involving standing outside grocery stores on the days surrounding the 4th of July in plenty of heat and humidity. Thousands of pounds of food and dollars, donated to several local pantries helped feed many food-insecure families. We can’t wait to see how he continues to develop as an adult!
