Know Norm Run – 200+ generous riders
joining together on a beautiful June day
Thanks to all who spent their day on the 80 mile ride, volunteered many hours in the weeks leading up to the event and who helped that entire day! KC Weasels, you are awesome!! Special shout out the Schlossenberg family whose love for their patriarch Norm and desire to feed kids led to creating this fabulous event.
$6,000 was raised and it will help tremendously with our mission to feed our local hungry kids
Great group, great event, great day. We love how our community supports our kids!!
Thanks to Amanda for giving her week of volunteer service during her Cerner sabbatical to us! She was an immense help with many office duties and sorting of new donations for our seven in-school food pantries. With two young children (and one on the way), she readily understands the critical role nutritious and plentiful food play in the lives of children.
A fun evening of shopping courtesy of the Boutique crawl hosted by three Parkville Boutiques. Yummy treats and drinks and the best part? 10% of sales from these three generous owners – Jamie with Urban Trends, Jordan with J. Quinn Boutique, and Kayla with Sincerely, Ellis . Together, all our savvy shoppers helped raise $1,200! Feeding kids and looking fabulous while doing so – what a great idea!!
We’re often asked, what do the kids eat during the summer? School counselors are great about getting info to the families about local food pantries and local feeding programs. This is a great resource listing local free summer meal options
