Collaboration amid coronavirus feeds thousands – part two

Community Food Kit program feeds over 9,000 local families

A decision to take our in-school pantry system mobile and create a Community Food Kit to feed entire families, launched March 27th. With the pandemic closing schools, kids and families could not access our ten “food for thought” pantries. Four distribution sites were created and the photo collage highlights activity at Antioch Bible Baptist Church (Site #3) and Platte County R-II (Site #4). This program ended June 26th, feeding so many for 14 weeks.

For an overview of the other two sites, visit our eblast from earlier this month.
