Fun Gatherings Generate Funds to Feed our Hungry Children

The annual Platte Woods UMC Ladies Christmas Tea was a delightful evening for nearly 500 Northland women! This annual event includes a charitable component with guests donating to Feed Northland Kids. New this year was a drone video of many of our tablescapes. Lots of great conversation, inspiring stories and yummy food!

Owen & Greta
Thanks to Owen and Greta. These siblings asked for cash donations instead of birthday gifts this year. With their generous parents matching the funds, they donated $1,200!!
Lexi
Adorable 5-year-old Lexi asked for food pantry donations at her birthday party. Here she is next to the 79 lbs of food she collected. This food weighs nearly twice as much as she does. Such a big heart for a such a little girl!

Volunteering and other good deeds reduce physical pain, a study finds

Think your volunteering helps only the recipient? Think again!

Our hearts are grateful and a little bit sad as we celebrate the retirement of Fred Mitchell from our board of directors. Fred and his wife Linda were instrumental in the formation of Feed Northland Kids in the summer of 2009. Enjoy your travels Fred and Linda!
