The Power of One – Which is yours?

One idea which grew into Giving Tuesday was a world-wide success! 

GivingTuesdaythe global generosity movement, reports record-breaking giving by millions of people worldwide during the annual celebration on November 30, 2021. The GivingTuesday Data Commons estimates that 35 million adults participated in many ways on GivingTuesday 2021 in the U.S., a 6% increase over 2020. Giving in the United States alone totaled $2.7 billion representing a 9% increase compared to 2020, and a 37% increase since 2019. With unprecedented levels of giving in 2020, these totals represent a significant continued trend of increased generosity.

Feed Northland Kids, one generous donor with Northland Injury Law issued a $2,500 matching grant offer and our supporters came thru! 

  • 16 separate on-line donations totaling nearly $7,500.

  • Northland Injury Law made up the difference to reach an even $10,000!!

                           

 One idea making a huge difference for many!

“A lot of kids don’t realize how fortunate they are so I think the opportunity to kind of get out there and see and help people who don’t have what they have, it’s kind of an eye opener a lot of times,” Steve Venne, Culinary instructor.

Shawnee Mission culinary arts and hospitality signature program, partnered with Kids Feeding Kids and created 1,000 meals for 250 families.
