Things we like to collect: Food, Funds & Friends!

Community Food Kits, one year later

When the pandemic turned so many lives, businesses and most of our realities upside down, we did what so many of you did, learned to pivot, fast! The creation of our Community Food Kit to feed entire families, especially those who had relied on our in-school pantries and those new to food insecurity, ramped up fairly quickly! Here is a quick overview as we close in on the end of the school year.

Thanks to our great friends at Bank of Weston for including us in their annual Shred day! Patrons of the bank donated $957 and 354 lbs of food for us in our 11 “Food for Thought” pantries!

Americans give to charity like never before amid pandemic. Seeing so many in distress and understanding the scope of the need resonates with many. Be inspired with these examples of generous hearts.

Where would we be without all our fabulous volunteers? It takes a lot of friends with big hearts, willing spirits and helping hands to make our impact possible. April is National Volunteer Month – we salute you!!
