Board Member Highlight: Darren Hennen

Olsson VP Darren Hennen recently completed his first year on the Feed Northland Kids Board and he is already making a big impact!  In just his second year on the board, he was elected Vice President and is bringing his business knowledge and community engagement skills to the table.  He and many of the Olsson employees frequently engage with the organization including their recent Bill Cross 5k sponsorship and team of participants as well as volunteering at Community Food Kit packing events at Winnetonka High School.

"I have had the honor to serve on a number of boards and commissions in the Northland.  As I began to term-out of the leadership positions in those organizations, I made a decision to step back and be very deliberate about my time and where I wanted to focus my efforts.  Feed Northland Kids in its simplest form is to alleviate hunger with families and children.  Coming from a single parent household, I understand the challenges families face and FNK's mission helps lighten that burden," says Darren.

Darren is excited to support and guide FNK as we move through the challenges of today's economy and the impact it has on food security for families in our community.  He embraces our mission, shares his passion with Olsson and our community, and consistently digs in to do the hard work to ensure that the organization reaches its full potential to serve the Northland.
