BackSnack- A Harvesters Community Food Network collaboration
Feed Northland Kids partners with Harvesters to provide BackSnacks to Northland elementary students on weekends and school breaks. Each BackSnack contains four pounds of high-protein, kid-friendly, shelf-stable food. A typical pack includes two breakfasts, two additional meals and several snacks, plus at least one box of milk, one fruit and one vegetable. Many of these students rely on school breakfasts and lunches each week. BackSnacks help to bridge the gap from Friday to Monday.
